The Rotaract Club of Colombo West, established in August 1973, is the second oldest Rotaract club in Sri Lanka. Founded under the leadership of Rtr. PP Janek Ratnatunga and sponsored by the Rotary Club of Colombo West, the club has built a strong partnership with its sponsoring Rotary club, fostering collaboration among the Rotary, Rotaract, and Interact Clubs within the Colombo West family.

Renowned for its culture of fellowship, diversity, and inclusion, the club welcomes members from all genders, cultures, professions, and backgrounds. Although community-based, it attracts a diverse membership, including university alumni and former Interactors, making it one of the most inclusive clubs in District 3220.

For over five decades, the club has empowered young leaders through service, completing more than 750 projects across areas such as environmental conservation, women’s empowerment, education, economic development, and digital inclusion. Its strong emphasis on fellowship and service continues to create lasting impact within the community.
